LEE
FEHLING
Who
died in the line of duty while trying to save others
On
September 11, 2001 FDNY and Wantagh firefighter Lee Fehling
was killed in the line of duty at the World Trade Center disaster.
This loss will change our lives forever.
A
loving husband, proud father, son, brother, and great friend,
Lee was what all of us should be. Our profession is one of great
danger. As firefighters we know that each call may be our last.
But, we love what we do and we know the job must be done.
Lee knew the risks. He also knew the rewarding feeling of serving
his community, and the city of New York, working hand in hand
with his brother firefighters, saving lives, and making a difference.
To Lee these rewards outweighed the risks.
We
know we can never bring Lee back, but every time the alarm sounds
we know Lee is riding with us. If we could ask him to watch
over us and his family, I know he would just smile and give
us a big "NO PROBLEM BRO" and keep us safe.
