NEVINS—Gerard T. of Campbell Hall, NY on September 11, 2001, FDNY Rescue 1 at World Trade Center, while trying to rescue others. Age 46. Gerry was a recipient of various medals and awards for heroism including being named firefighter of the year in 2001. Beloved son of Patrick and Lorraine Holmes Nevins. Adored wife, Marie Nevins and sons Daniel, age 7 and Andrew age 5. Dear brothers Stephen and wife Carol Nevins of Kinston, NY and John and wife Karon Nevins of Blauvelt, NY. Also survived by many nieces & nephews and a large extended family. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 6th at 1:00pm at St Mary's Church, Washing-tonville, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations to an educational fund in Daniel and Andrew Nevins name at the Hudson United Bank at 21 East Main, Washingtonville, NY 10992 would be appreciated.
