Arthur Barry, a New York firefighter, enjoyed the road.He was big on road trips and last year went on a 10,000-mile motorcycle trek that took him toCanada, Alaska and back across the northern United States. Barry had been on vacation the dayof the Sept. 11 attacks. But he came into Manhattan to drop off something at his firehousenear the South Street Seaport and he walked to the scene of the disaster with anotherfirefighter. Barry, who joined the fire department in 1993, had been an elevator mechanic. --The Associated Press
