The following three Court Officers were lost on 9-11-01.

Captain William Thompson
Officer Jurgens
Officer Wallace.

 

Captain William Thompson was teaching at the academy at William Street and ran over to the buildings with a group of officers who were at the academy for requalification. He was the only one in that group that did not make it. He went in to help expedite the evacuation of the building and that was the last anyone saw of him.

Officer Jurgens and Wallace were on their way to work and went to help and were never again heard from.
