To whom it may concern: As a father of two young men that died on September 11th (One and NYPD Detective and the othe FDNY Firefighter) I am appaled at the disrepect you and your collegues have shown the NYPD in their attempt to receive a fair and honest contract. Eleven months ago, you politicians had nothing but praise and accolades for the young men and women of the emergency services for thier devotion to duty, the sacrifices they endured and the loss of so many young family members. Now that the pressure is off and the site is being turned into a political football, you people want to give these valient officers "crumbs" and not the piece of cake they deserve. How dare you? How many of you were at the site daily and watched these young men and women dig through the rubble, ingesting "god only knows what" and never complaining. They were looking for our children, husbands and wives....where were you? Now is the time for you to say "thanks" Now it is your turn to give these people a contract they righously deserve. My sons had to work two and three jobs to be able to provide for their families. They, like thousands of other, lost time with their families trying to provide a nice home and put food on their table. Now they are dead and their families are being compensated with money and scholarships. That means nothing, they would give it all back to have their husband, thier father and in my case, my son(s) back. The time they lost all those years should not have happened had they made enough money so they did not have to work two and three jobs. They could have enjoyed their home, their family and wives full time. How many of you work two and three jobs? How many of you work shifts? How many of you are shot at? How many of you have been shot? Finally, who do you call when you feel threatened? You call a cop. Please consider my comments and your vote to give these people what they deserve.

Sincerely, John T. Vigiano 318 West 24th Street Deer PArk, NY 11729
