On September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center towers were destroyed by unforgiveable acts of terrorism, and many Americans perished in the catastrophe. Among the casualties were hundreds of rescue workers who lost their lives in heroic efforts to save their fellow citizens. This Memorial has been created to honor this New York City Firefighter who answered the call on September 11, 2001. The bravery, selflessness and ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2001 at 12noon at Holy Name of Mary Church, Valley Stream.
