Michael
E. Roberts' efforts helped save the lives of thousands of people until
his own life was taken, with
those of his comrades, in the collapse of the south tower September 11th,
2001 at the World Trade Center. He joined the NYFD 3 years ago. During probation,
he served with Ladder 35 in Manh, Engine 224 in Bklyn and Engine 43 on Sedgwick
Ave. in the Bronx then back to Ladder 35 since Oct. 2000. He is survived
by his father, Capt. Thomas Roberts Ret. FDNY; his mother, Paulette; his
sister, Lisa Roberts; his brother, Kenneth; his grandmother, Rita Socquet;
and his girlfriend, Teresa Ivey. Visiting will be held Sunday, November 11,
2001 at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, Inc. 100 Franklin Ave., Pearl River.
A memorial mass will be held Monday, November 12, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the
Chapel of the Most Holy Rosary, St. Dominic's Convent, 496 Western Highway,
