Father,
Husband, Firefighter Dec. 3, 2001 When Engine Co. 26 of Midtown called
Engine Co. 10 for an extra man on the morning of Sept.
11, Paul Pansini, of Tottenville, Staten Island, volunteered. Pansini, 34,
had served 11 years with the New York City Fire Department and was known
for his giving nature. The father of three married his high school sweetheart,
the former Janice Richichi, and doted on son Paul Jack "P.J." and twin daughters,
Anna and Claire. A black belt in judo, Pansini won medals at the Police and
Fire Games in Pittsburgh in 1991. "Anyone who knew him," said his sister
Loretta Halpert, "knew him as a friend." Pansini also is survived by brothers
Joseph and Robert. (Newsday Article)
