Firefighting Was in His Blood Nov. 27, 2001 Joseph Ogren tried to ignore the call of the siren. He got a college degree and took a job in a district attorney's office. But, sure enough, he gave it up to follow the trail blazed by his father, Robert, and twin brother, Lance. Joseph (Jay) Ogren was meant to be a firefighter. Ogren, 30, was also planning to be a husband, having met the love of his life on a trip to Cancun. In addition to his father and brother Lance, Ogren is survived by his mother, Dorothy; two more brothers, Robert and Eric, and his sister, Patricia Ogren. (Newsday Article)
