Firefighter
Was Black Belt in Karate
Nov. 27, 2001
Edward
"Eddy" Day, 45, was good at a lot of things. One of
them was karate. The third-degree black belt taught young children
about the mental and physical benefits of karate. For him, it
was a peaceful art.
Day
was a firefighter with Ladder Co. 11 of Manhattan's Lower East
Side when the World Trade Center was attacked by terrorist.
His wife, Bridgitte, was in Frankfurt, Germany visiting her
ill father at the time.
In
addition to his wife, Day is survived by his mother, Grace,
his father, Edward, brothers, Bill and Tim and a sister, Liz
Mindlin.
