Burns (Ex-Captain of Fire Company 3) Died at age 61 on 9/11/01 while
on duty On September 11th 2001, Captain Donald Burns
answered his last alarm on duty with the New York City Fire Department.
Donald was an Assistant Chief and City Wide Tour Commander with FDNY.
He had responded to the terrorist attacks on the twin towers and like
several others was caught in its collapse. Donald was one of the most
knowledgeable men in the New York City Fire Department often referred
to as the "Human Hagstrom". He will be forever in our hearts and always
remembered by his warm smile.
