Carl Vincent Bini, a firefighter with the New York Fire Department, co-owneda business, Tower East Construction Co., and planned to retire from the Fire Department in twoyears and work at the business full time. In his 18 years with the department, he twice tookpart as a diver in plane crash rescue and recovery efforts. He met the woman who would becomehis wife when both were children. “We started to go out when we were 12 years old, and I’veloved him since then,” Christine Bini said. “Everyone says that I should be grateful that I had so much time with him, but I wanted more.It wasn’t enough.” (Newsday Article)
